The Stephens family has been associated with quality construction, land development, and real estate in Southern California since 1957 and is now offering custom contracting and expert renovation services throughout Houston, Texas.

After graduating college and spending a decade working in construction alongside his father, L.J. “Jack” Stephens, in 1980, L. James “Jim” Stephens founded Stephens Construction.

For over 40 years, Stephens Construction developed and built commercial buildings, industrial parks, design-build projects, and custom homes throughout San Diego, Orange County, and San Bernardino County, California.  Looking to extend their contracting services, Stephens Construction relocated to Houston, Texas in 2013, bringing quality craftsmanship, construction expertise, unrivaled attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service to the nation’s strongest construction and real estate market.

Stephens Construction is a broad based, Certified LEED Green Associate construction company specializing in commercial and industrial development, design-build projects, custom residential construction, remodels, and renovations.  We are also vastly experienced in the construction of medical offices, medical office improvements, office tenant improvements, and ADA compliance.
